Belong (Love People)

We are tribal and need to feel part of a cause. Yet, it is our need to be loved and accepted that fuels our desire to belong. Love leads to sacrifice and surrendering. By belonging to Him, we surrender the rights to belong to ourselves. Belonging to Him sets us in a place to serve others. Jesus told us that the way the world will know that we are His disciples is if we love one another (John 13:34). Love doesn’t stand alone. It is manifested in community. The church erupted out of an act of love, and love draws a crowd. Love stands out, is undeniable, and defining. Love always moves us to belong.

Embrace every person and share the Gospel through the natural outflow of relationships. Culture and ethos erupts out of the context of human relationships, not apart from it. The stage for this can be set at the "post" gathering (Make More Room). It is through relationships that discipleship will begin to emerge and take shape.

Evolve through small groups, mid-week gatherings, or "need" specific elements. Spiritual formation should be the natural result of this stage. Vital signs are introduced at this phase.

Engage by assimilating individuals into minor element roles where they can begin to serve. It is through serving others that people genuinely begin to connect and stick. One’s sense of ownership increases when we see our fingerprints on the work that has been done. Vital signs of elements are more deeply communicated here.
