Cultural relevance has BEcome an obsession for
contemporary Christianity. We’ve studied, analyzed and even imitated the culture in an attempt to remain relevant. But what if GOD’s intention is for us to press deeper than cultural relevance, and take hold of cultural responsibility. What we learn from the Scriptures is that it’s not enough to condemn culture. Nor is it sufficient merely to critique culture, copy culture or consume culture. The only way to change culture is to create culture. We must reclaim cultural responsibility to BE the creative cultivators that God designed us to BE.
