A native of Chicago yet descendant of El Salvador, Joel claims the world as his home; the human soul as his canvas. Alongside his gorgeous wife (Sofia), and brilliant son Silas, Joel leads the community called the ROOM. An artist at heart and poet at soul, Joel enjoys the craft of design, the art of creating, and the risk of believing. His passion is people. At home, Joel enjoys the “wind down” and feels fortunate to have two great Labrador Retrievers (Winston & Sasha) that offer unconditional support, encouragement and at times, advice.
